Hostal Balmaceda, located in the Heritage Quarter of La Serena. A colonial house, restored, also with new facilities inside, that invite relaxation and contact with nature for its gardens, flowers and the singing of birds, an atmosphere of peace and tranquility for your body and soul.

The place is located a few steps from the main square of the city, on the way you can discover churches with incredible stories and ancient bell towers built by various religious orders. You will also appreciate the colonial architecture, visit museums, large houses with incredible courtyards that will take you for an entertaining trip to the past. You will also find a variety of restaurants where you can taste the most exquisite typical Chilean dishes, as well as a wide variety of cuisine for all tastes.

Surfing at the beach you must walk around 25 minutes, fishing & lazing in the sun. the sun.

Driving directions
You can walk from bus station to Hostal Balmaceda is near only 2.5 block, aproximatelly 8 minutes walking the place is quiet and safe but if you don´t want to walk you can take taxi inside bus station the price is between $2.000 and $2.500 chilean pesos.
Airports
Is located approximately 5 kilometer, around 15 minutes un taxi. The value in taxi around $8.000 Chilean pesos.
Other transport
Local buses there are near the airport but you mus walk around four block.

Based on local tax laws, Chilean citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Chile) must pay an additional fee of 19%.
